At Wonder Bees we highly value the importance of play. The team work collaboratively to provide quality learning and teaching based on the interests of tamariki. The tamariki are empowered to take leadership in their learning, develop their social skills and gain the confidence to make their own choices, take risks and express themselves.
Besides, we plan to provide some specialised lessons during the week for children such as Music and Movement, Art and Craft, Kids Yoga and Physical Education. These lessons will last 20-40 minutes per session with the outside professionals. We believe these lessons will be beneficial for our children to be a competent capable lifelong learner.

Throughout the day, children are provided many opportunities for small and large group interaction, as well as quiet and active play. Children at Wonder Bees are invited to challenge themselves in creative ways. In-depth curriculum projects encourage children to develop their problem-solving abilities and express themselves with art materials, dance, puppets, and drama/theatre-making. Children and teachers utilise whatever language may facilitate inquiry and discovery.
The curricular studies are negotiated by children and teachers, as well as in line with whānau goals and aspirations for their child/ren and the “project approach” is implemented. In-depth study projects provide children numerous opportunities to collaborate in small groups to make predictions, test theories, and revisit experiences. Children and teachers are seen as “co-constructivists,” researching and learning together. The curriculum aims to help children to develop creativity, strong problem-solving abilities, and a sense of inquiry.
